Congressional action is "Bottom Kill" for DADT
It should be the final nail in the coffin. A directive from the President that no one shall be prosecuted under its mandate while waiting for Molasses Bottom to act would be a "Top Kill".

2. Yes, we loved it when Bush violated the law.
DADT, until repealed, will remain on the books. The next President can reinstate it. Republicans could even take it to the Supreme Court and test the limits of the Executive Orders. Like Desegregation, the military could drag its feet for years and use that well known "Conduct unbecoming..." charge. Desegregation did not really occur until the Korean War where so many men died that they needed canon fodder of any color to fill units. It did not really happen until the late 60's after race riots in the Navy. Remember, Segregations was an unwritten policy in 1948, not a matter of law, and still took more than 20 years to actually become a reality.
