Russ Feingold trails by 7 points.
http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/09/is-wisconsin-still-feingold-country-dem-sen-trails-heading-into-november.php

He's one of the best Senators. The only Senator to vote against "The Patriot Act."

If you're in Wisconsin, please volunteer for him.

If you're not in Wisconsin, then please donate to his campaign.

1. This Particular Race Really Troubles Me, I'm Hoping This Is Johnson's Peak
Seven points is not insurmountable, but Russ really needs to get crackin'.

6. Feingold should call the GOP/Tea Party out on their illegal vote caging
If the GOP has such a comfy lead, why are they so desperate to disenfranchise Wisconsin voters?

11. Russ Feingold
would make an excellent President, not to mention Senator - he's brilliant and fearless. He recently did a "cheddarbomb" which I think was pretty successful, but he's running against yet another millionaire with deep pockets. So we gotta help him out no matter where we live.

14. In the 1970s, Congress passed a law which limited how much anyone could donate...
...including self-donations.

Unfortunately, the Supreme Court ruled that self-donations are Free Speech & can't be limited.

23. Many Democrats will stay home, just like in 94, and just like Republicans stayed home in 82, etc.
This is not uncommon. The party in power is less enthusiastic. Likely voter models are historically very accurate.

and unfortunately there are plenty of people stupid enough to vote for him here in Wisconsin.

18. Indeed there are...
As a geologist, my work takes me all over the state. There is a glut of Ron Johnson and Scott Walker signs across the state. Perhaps this is an hangover from the fact that there were reasonably high-profile Republican primaries across the state, while the Democratic candidates were largely decided already.

He has absolutely nothing to offer Wisconsin. Rich guy who made his money because he married the bosses daughter.

While I remain confident he'll win, he needs help.
