Mitch McConnell Stands Firm: No Partial Bush Tax Cut Extension

The House Republican leader on Sunday suggested he may be willing to concede to Democrats who want to let the Bush tax cuts lapse for the wealthiest Americans, but the Senate Republican leader today said he is standing his ground.

A spokesperson for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) said today that McConnell has received a promise from every Senate Republican to filibuster any attempt to extend the Bush tax cuts that doesn't include the tax cuts for the wealthy, the Associated Press reports.

1. Good!
Let's see him explain why the leader of the house said he was willing to vote for tax cuts for just those making under $250,000, but the leader of the senate won't! Play them against each other, use what McConnell said show the public just how big of assholes these guys really are!

2. Good. Tell the republicans that they are not going to mess
with the expiration of all tax cuts. In the meantime and before the election they should write a new bill, giving people making under $250,000 NEW tax cuts to take effect as the old ones expire. Then they can dare the republicans to vote NO against the bill before the upcoming election. That should frost their balls pretty damn quick. They can tell the public see who are the ones who want to raise taxes on people.

But I bet Democrats don't have the BALLS to do something like this.

4. Smart politcal team would have ads up in every state in the union
pointing out that Republicans refuse to give taxcuts
to the Middle Class.

Democrats had better start playing hard ball. When
you cannot depend on the Media, you get your ads out
with a strong message.

No eat.. no sleep.. Then show them on TV with the caption "GOP blocks progress for Middle Class."

Stop caving to the bullies at every step.
