Judge won't kick Green Party candidates off ballot
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100910/ap_on_el_st_lo/us_green_party_sham_candidates

A federal judge has denied a request by the Arizona Green Party to kick a majority of the party's candidates off the November ballot.

U.S. District Judge David G. Campbell made the ruling late Thursday, hours after hearing arguments in the case.

The Green Party calls the disputed nominees "sham candidates" and says they were placed on the ballot "to mislead voters and rig the election process."

Greens and Democrats say Republican officials took advantage of a little-known provision in election law that applies only to the Green Party. It allows people in some cases to become a Green Party nominee with a single write-in vote.

1. And how many of you are supporting Greens over progressive Dems?
Honestly, it seems like all the good Greens turned Democratic while the gettin' was good. The national party seriously needs to clean house before any of us can take them seriously.

2. There are still a few diehards out there
but most of their votes will come from Republicans who are disgusted by their own candidates, blowback at its finest.

3. What this is about is one of our Az Repugs found homeless people & got them on the ballot as Green
candidates to confuse Democrats who may vote Green. It's a scam to help the repugs stay in power in Az.

Here's a link if you want to read more on this sham.
