Quran burning on again? Florida pastor says maybe
Edited on Thu Sep-09-10 08:33 PM by spanone
'Back to square one,' Jones says after imam denies there's a deal to move NYC Islamic center

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida pastor whose
plan to burn Qurans on Sept. 11 generated
worldwide outrage among Muslims and
pressure by the U.S. government to relent said
late Thursday that he might not call off the
protest after all.

Pastor Terry Jones told NBC News that "we are
a little back to square one" after a supposed
deal involving a proposed Islamic cultural
center in New York evaporated.

1. The press, the public and all politicians should simply ignore
and totally turn away. Like the "boy who cried wolf," this guy's time has come and gone.

2. Maybe they should investigate everything he's ever done and find a reason to arrest him.
This guy has four dozen people and he's the face of our foreign policy to the Islamic world. Nice job, FOX.

4. "I am going to set fire to some of my private property to make you mad!"
"I am so mad that you are going to set fire to some of your property!"

"Then you better build your center for your imaginary friend somewhere else!"

"You don't have the right to tell us what to do! You better not burn some of your private property!"

9. I agree -
Now he is down to a "message from god" to get him out of his corner.

He is SOOO nuts. And the media is SOOOO irresponsible for even mentioning it at the beginning. They had to know it would escalate into the horrible situation. They magnified the influence of one nut and his sparse following into an international incident.

A pox on them all.

Interesting how Palin and Beck love to fan the bigotry flames to keep the money boiling in and then verbally pull back just a bit and just in time when they see that they might just be blamed for the consequences of their rhetoric.

7. Another visit from the FBI
would be timely. Sometimes people just don't catch on real fast. Especially if they have this super ego shit going on in their little delusional brains.

Truly I have a lot of faith the he will be getting a knock on the door shortly.

13. The visit from the FBI was to WARN HIM that HE was in danger
They had heard of some credible threats on Pastor Jone's life if he went ahead with the burnings.

That's what I heard on our CBC news tonight.

10. I'm sorry I don't wish any ill will to him
I hat the way Moslems are treated in this country, and I wish it would stop.

What Rev did is ignorant to the extreme.

But I just don't wish any ill will towards anybody. Which is a big reason why I'm not good at religion. or being a Republican.

I just don't hate good enough.
