Will Democrats snatch defeat from the jaws of victory over Gonzales?
The Democratic Party Leadership is planning to have a no-confidence vote on Gonzales.

If it's successful, the chance of throwing Gonzales out will become stronger.

However, if this measure fails, support for Gonzales from Bush and his other supporters will become stronger.

In case of that, let us all hope that the former happens.

1. Thank you for your concern.
What would we do without these useful little thoughts?

2. I'd rather they vote for impeachment
We have enough evidence of the high crimes and misdemeanors of this admin.

3. They've already got some GOP Senators calling on Gonzo to step
down--it might be successful after all.

7. If they called on him to step down, I'm pretty sure they'd take the less
radical step of voting "no confidence"--and many other GOP Senators are going to be hesitant to defend Gonzo after the midnight ICU visit--that's the straw that will break the back of the GOP's unity.

5. They need 60 votes for this
and they might have them

They would need 67 for indictment after impeachment in the house

those I doubt they have... YET
