Ny R Hopeful Candidate for Governor Paladino Questions Obama's Faith
Edited on Tue Aug-31-10 01:46 PM by Liberalynn
This just sickened me when I read it in my local newspaper today. He says he doesn't believe that "Obama is a practicing Christian in his heart." How the hell does Paladino or anyone else know what is in Obama's mind and heart? This same article also stated that some American's still believe Obama is Muslim.

President Obama identifies himself as a Christian and that is good enough for me.I, however, really don't care whether he belongs to the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. All that matters is whether the man who sits in the White House knows how to manage the nation's affairs domestic and foreign. We can agree or disagree on that point but that is it. He(and hopefully she at sometime in the not too distant future) is not meant to be our pastor or our parent. When our people going to get that fricking straight?

It makes me question whether this is just stupid sensationalistic political ploys fueled further by media hype or are more and more people really becoming this dangerously ideological and idiotic?

1. Bad enough that the President has to publicly affirm his private belief in a deity.
Worse that once he does, landing him demographically in the majority group of Protestant Christians, he's condemned as "not Christian enough".

He'll never be acceptable to these jokers.

3. Sad but true
I just want to know when the public is going to wake up and realzie these ass wipes like Paladino are playing them and are no more "perfect Christians," than a pet rock.

2. There are two issues here. One is the propagation by the media that Obama is not a "christian"
and the second, which is even more disturbing, the implication if you are an American Muslim, you are automatically associated with terrorism

One of the reasons this country was founded was based on religious freedom, and the intolerance of many of those expressing their religious freedom, against others because they are different is dispicible

election but the media makes it seem like more and more people are falling for it. I hope that part is hype and not true. It astounds me that people could be that stupid but who knows. I don't want to believe they are but its starting to seem like it.

6. Well, in NY State, I don't think Paladino has a prayer....according to..
"The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely New York Voters finds Cuomo, a Democrat, earning 58% of the vote against both Rick Lazio and Carl Paladino. This is his best showing to date."

Duffy who is running for Lieutenant Governor with Cuomo is my sister's mayor, and we think he has done a really good job for Rochester. I really thought Andrew's father was a good Governor too.
