Michelle Rhee might soon be history, rather than attention-getting educational "reformer" in DC
Rhee's power derives from the mayor, Adrian Fenty, who stands 100% behind her.

However, Fenty might soon lose the Democratic primary for re-election as DC's mayor. The primary is the actual election here, as there is no viable Republican candidate in the city. Fenty has alienated many Democrats with his managerial style, though he has a solid track record of reform. The primary is on September 14th.

If Fenty goes, Rhee, who has been a lighting-rod for criticism, is not likely to be retained by the new mayor, candidate Vincent Gray.

6. Fenty's problems were well covered in the Wash Post on Sunday
Things are improving but it seems not to be good enough. Sounds like some of the same issues a certain other DC resident is having

11. The very same.
She's marrying Mayor Kevin Johnson, mayor of Sacramento. Jokes aside, I really fear we are next for her "reform" out here.
