Two reasons to give to the DCCC and/or DSCC today!
1. There is a ten-point gap favoring the Republicans on the generic ballot, according to Gallup. Even if you think they're lying, act like they're not.
2. The DCCC has some matching-donation arrangement set up if you donate by tomorrow at midnight.

1. Maybe I'll give a little to the DCCC
but the DSCC is at the top if my shit list ever since they sent me an e-mail from james fucking carville telling me why I should send them money to help blanche lincoln beat back her primary challenger.

2. I give directly to candidates of my choosing.
Here in NH the dccc does not represent my interests.

12. What kind of difference though?
If they just end up backing the more "moderate" (e.g., conservative) candidate, what good are you doing for the progressive cause?

Better to just donate to individual candidates that more share your values.

16. I'm keeping Republicans from being elected.
At this point there are few Democratic primaries left to have an influence on how progressive the Democratic candidate is.

5. Even if I could afford it, which I can't,
I prefer giving to candidates individually. I dislike having someone take my contribution and giving it to someone I would be reticent to vote for. On the other hand, I can understand the need for a united front, and how some candidates don't get the funds to campaign with. But I also know I have to watch every penny that I get monthly, and do what I can to make sure I get through the month.

6. No, they give to faux Democrats.
Give directly to progressive Democratic candidates who share your values.

DCCC and DSCC are what have gotten us into this mess with their conservadems. :puke:

15. The guy from DCCC that called said they are supporting Grayson
Among other progressive Democrats. I had already told him that I will not be donating to DCCC, DSCC or any other Democratic Party entity. That if I ever have spare money to donate again I will be donating directly to the individual candidates I select.

The guy was pretty nice about if. We had a discussion about why I am dissatisfied and why I have no money to donate (health issues, costing too much despite having health insurance). He said that at least I am an "informed voter" that will get out and vote.

But he still tried to hit me up for money at the end of the call. :wtf:

17. They are hearing that a lot from people they call. I've told them the same thing,
as have many others here at DU.

Maybe they'll get the message when they realize they're being cut out of the deal due to their support of Republican Lites.

I've had enough of the "center right" crap. We need to take a hard left turn to restore BALANCE.

7. Not one penny.
I will donate to individual candidates who share my progressive values. No more blanket donations for me.

11. Well, if you were really protesting them, wouldn't you want them to know
how much they're gonna miss since they don't have you? You did bother to post that you weren't going to give; I would think you would want to show them the maximum impact of that.
