Ben Bernanke said yesterday that the economy this year is fucked, but it will recover next year. He gave no reason... did not cite what would be different to cause this happy end. (Did he say last year the economy last year was fucked but would recover this year? Sounds vaguely familiar. Hmmm...)

She spends alot of airtime these days saying how we're headed in the right direction, how the new energy policies are gonna transform America, how the transportaion dep't. is just now distributing stimulus money; how the jobs are going to start cascading throughout the economy by the millions because of the stimulus. She is so enthusiastic about how geat things are going to be that, for a second or two, I almost believed her.:shrug:
