This "War Czar" position is not only illegal (placing the military under military instead of civilian control" but, it appears that the President either can't or won't do his job. He needs to step down. Dems need to run with this. The guy is either lazy or incompetent and the whole nation should be laughing at the "decider" who is going to make someone else decide!!

1. * really believes in delegating his work load on someone else.
he thinks he's CEO of a company not a country, and he continues to reap in the profits.

2. I cannot believe that the Dems are not on every network just yucking it up about the
"decider" deciding to let someone else make the decisions. They could really run with this one, show just how weak and incompetent this guy really is that he can't take the heat.

3. Something smells fishy about this position.
Shouldn't congress have a say in approving this position and/or consent in the selection of this person. Similar to when the Homeland Security Dept was made a cabinet level position. The guy ultimately reports to Bush, doesn't he?

4. Agreed.
But I thought that by the time he announced the new position would be filled, it was already on paper, clucthed in *'s greedy hands (?) and nobody could do anything about it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

7. I believe it requires Senate confirmation and they need to stop this one.
It is not legal unless he resigns his commission.

9. Is there an actual description of the position's responsibilities?
It sounds like he is directing the activities of the military, but I have not seen the exact responsibilities.
