Actually, this *is* George Bush's economy.
The flush handle got pulled on the economy when George Cheney and Dick Bush submitted their first budget Congress in 2001. Since then, they've been, year after year, the poster children for the dictionary definition of "Profligate Spender". They did all this while never taking in any money from their pals, choosing to borrow instead. No good Daddy figure ever breaks open his grandkids' piggy bank, but these two fucksticks did.

I can point to a lot of things I personally think Obama did wrong in trying to fix the mess he was left. But that's all. At *absolute* worst he screwed up the massive and very delicate fix that was needed to even have hope of undoing in less than a generation what The Worst President In History did to us.

That, and not opening criminal investigations.

But you have to admit, even if you disagree with Obama on every financial move he made (I do not), this is, in fact and indeed, George Cheney and Dick Bush's economy.

1. You are never going to do everything right when you are trying to ...
bail out a ship as it is falling over a waterfall

I agree Obama could have done things better but so far, all things considered, he has and WE have weathered the storm well

2. I don't think anyone expected perfection (and if they did, they're kinda nuts)
I intended this thread to be somewhat complimentary to Obama and fully scornful of the scornworthy.

3. Bush's work on (to) the economy
Ronald Reagan got the economy running on all eight cylinders.

Bush jammed the throttle wide open causing the engine to seize and put the car is in the ditch.

The Republicans do not need the keys back.

8. Reagan's policies laid the ground work for today
Deregulation, changes in the tax code to favor the rich, and pushing the Justice Department onto the side of big business set us up for the fall. The Bush Administration harvested the seeds planted by Reagan and opened the flood gates of wealth flowing from the middle class up to the rich.

Our problem today is people have no money to spend in order to keep the economy growing. Most of the money has been transfered to the rich who are just sitting on piles of cash which in turn is starving the economy. The solution is tax that money away from the rich and put it back into circulation where everybody can benefit from it.

They set it up. They got it going. They did such a good job it crashed a few months too soon. It was supposed to crash on Obama's (or Hillary's) watch. They wanted to lose that election, that was the real reason for the Knob/geezer match up. Now they want it back to finish the job. But the way it is going, Obama is doing their job for them (Cat Food Commission). With all the DINO's in Congress, the Rebugs don't need to take it back.
If you think the economy is going south now, just wait till they kill or badly cripple Social Security.
