I finished it yesterday on a plane home from San Francisco. No book I've read lays out the case as thoroughly and completely - from stolen elections to torture/Geneva Conventions to an illegal Iraq invasion to breaches of the Constitution to spying/wiretapping to national disaster neglect. It begins with 12 briefed reasons for impeachment that will have steam coming out of your ears .... and that's before you even get to the real meat of the book.

Anyway, it's a must-read. It's my recommendation for the DU book club. :)

write about it, talk about it, TRY to do something about it, yet NOTHING gets done about it.

4. It's OK....

When I finished the book, I was ready to start screaming "Why the Fuck is he still in office? Why are you people so GD complacent?!!!!" right there on the plane.....But I'm not in Gitmo today, so you can probably guess that I didn't end up doing that. :)

And yes, it is infuriatingly great. What was even greater was watching the faces of people as they spied the cover of the book (which has IMPEACH THE PRESIDENT in huge letters) as they boarded the plane (my seat was right next to the boarding door). Most smiled, one guy said it's about time someone said this out loud, and a few grimaced. We're clearly in the majority now.
