...and that food and other necessities are rising FASTER than the CPI.

They need to recognize the truth that Paul Craig Roberts, who wrote Reagan's first tax cut bill as undersecretary at Reagan's Treasury Department, has the guts to tell us: that the CPI has already been rigged to UNDERESTIMATE inflation, that this has ALREADY BEEN DONE specifically to fraudulently steal earned and paid for (by decades of payroll taxes) SS benefits, and that Allan Simpson's lie that the CPI overestimate inflation and COLA's need to be cut is not just a lie, but a damn lie.

Democratic candidates need to TAKE THE PLEDGE that they will not allow the Catfood Commission's plan to gut Social Security to slip under the radar through the lame duck Congress in December as planned.

TAKE THE PLEDGE!

1. What you want to do is get some dry bag type feed and pour it into a bowl.
Pour a little water on it. This will soften it up (for those with dental issues and cannot eat the crunchy),
but also has the benefit of making its own gravy. You can also sop that gravy up with stale bread!

2. I haven't fed commercial pet food to my dogs and cat
since the industry poisoned 40,000 dogs and cats with Chinese melamine back in April 2007. I never will again.

Edited on Tue Aug-17-10 02:52 PM by SPedigrees
if that's what you meant. The analogy is a bit obscure.

However I was answering the post above mine.

5. It's actually code for the "National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform"
which I assume falls under the Ministry of Plenty. :eyes:

8. If you want to add a bit of flavor every so often...
you can also cut off body parts (make sure to cauterize the wounds afterward), boil, then whip them around in the food processor or blender, then stir into the dry crunchies.

The water those parts were boiled in also makes a dandy soup if you throw garden weeds in...

6. It took them 10 years to raise the minimum wage fercripesakes
In the spirit of bipartisanship (which I hope sinks like a rock) I anticipate a bill providing a senior citizen's discount on the fish frames left over AFTER they process the Fancy Feast. Or vegetable peelings, for the vegans.

Perhaps they'll issue special biometric pet tags we can wear & use like ration cards when we line up near the dumpsters.

I also anticipate Dr. GOP-hack-of-the-month explaining that obese senior citizens are driving up health care costs so a lower daily calorie count is for our own good & that of the Pentagon's budget. :sarcasm:
