Protesters call for UC Berkeley law prof's removal
Monday, August 16, 2010

(08-16) 11:38 PDT Berkeley, Calif. (AP) --

Anti-war activists are protesting at the University of California, Berkeley to demand the removal of John Yoo, a constitutional law professor who used to work for the Bush administration.

The protesters planned to demonstrate outside UC Berkeley's School of Law on Monday, the first day of fall classes.

Yoo worked for President Bush's Office of Legal Counsel from 2001 to 2003, when he helped craft legal theories for waterboarding and other harsh interrogation techniques.

A recent Justice Department investigation into his work for Bush administration found that Yoo and his former colleagues showed "poor judgment" but did not commit professional misconduct.

Cindy Sheehan will be among the activists calling for Yoo's ouster and prosecution for war crimes.

1. I particularly liked his advice to then president dumdum
to crush the testicles of the young sons of captured "terrorists" in front of their fathers to pehaps induce their cooperation during some enhanced interrogations. Nice one John, I'll bet you drew president shrub, or rather cheney, a nice vivid picture of these youngsters testicles popping like grapes as their captors watched in horror. What an immagination John, you certainly fit in well with that group. Again Kudo's.
You unfathomable pig.

2. When I think of John Woo, a sick shiver of fear and shame runs down my soul.
He spent days of his life writing such treatises as "If the arm is torn from the socket, that is not torture, but if the arm is amputated, then it is." Says he did it for the good of the Presidency, so that we would have clear and concise guidelines on torture.

Pages of the stuff.

What sort of person can spend even a moment doing that?
