DeLay says he "always knew" no criminal charges would be filed against him
Tom DeLay pleased DOJ ends criminal probe

By JUAN A. LOZANO
updated 42 minutes ago

HOUSTON — Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay says he always knew a Justice Department probe of his ties to disgraced ex-lobbyist Jack Abramoff would end without any criminal charges being filed against him.

DeLay said during a conference call Monday that he wished the investigation hadn't taken six years to conclude.

One of DeLay's lawyers, Richard Cullen, announced earlier in the day that the Justice Department's Office of Public Integrity informed DeLay's legal team last week that it was ending the investigation.

Justice Department spokeswoman Laura Sweeney declined to comment on the end of DeLay's case, which is normal when the department ends a criminal probe without filing charges.

1. How's the weather up there, douchebag?
Being above the law makes Tom DeLay an everyday American, just like you & me.

2. "Of course I always knew - I've been around a long time and I know where
the bodies are buried, and who to pay off - I'm fucking teflon!"

Is that what he said?

4. The DOJ is a sham.
They just dropped the investigation of Alaska's Don Young, as well, who regularly made CREW's list of most corrupt politicians.

5. Obviously the DOJ is still suffering with a corruption hangover from Bushco.
I was promised change. I voted for change. This isn't change, this is the same old sh!t.

Sure Tom DeLay isn't guilty of anything. He's just a simple, Christian former exterminator from Texas.

Let's not investigate Bushco, because we have to look forward.

Let's not go after those who tortured on behalf of the American people.

Let's not continue looking into anything that may have resulted in the problems we're facing today. No sirree, we gotta look forward. Identifying and fixing what caused the problems in the first place will never help anything, right? :eyes:

Thanks, Barack. Lovin' all this change. :eyes:

6. So according to all the republicans IF they win the house or
senate they are going to send subpoena and subpoena against the Democrats. They are going to investigate and prosecute everyone. And this Justice Department can't dismiss ALL CHARGES OF CORRUPTION, which are right there out in the open, against any and all republicans that are under indictment.

So the ethics committee has not done one thing to Ensign. But they go after Rangle, and maybe they are correct, why why one and not the other. What Ensign did was illegal. It seems to me the Democrats in the Justice Department are twisting their damn shorts in a heck of bunch trying to prove republicans are as pure as the driven snow, while they throw the Democrats to the lions. WHAT IN THE HELL DID WE VOTE FOR.

7. Am I surprised? Hell no!!
Am I pissed off? HELL YES!!

I'm sure that the DOJ was very meticulous and has done the right thing. :eyes:

I'm also sure that the "Justice System" in this country is FUBAR if that smarmy little cockroach wasn't charged.

 :wtf: :banghead:
