Group launches ads hitting Republicans on Social Security plans
http://thehill.com/blogs/on-the-money/domestic-taxes/114387-ads-to

Americans United on Monday will begin running ads combating Republican attempts to privatize Social Security.

The five-figure buy will kick off the group's mobilization effort in 10 battleground states to pressure lawmakers into opposing the plan.

"There is danger," the ad states. "Wall Street's congressional allies John Boehner, Paul Ryan and Michele Bachmann are planning a sneak attack on Social Security and Medicare. Their plan: Bring back George W. Bush's privatization plan, cut guaranteed benefits and replace them with a risky investment scheme so Wall Street can get its hands on the Social Security trust fund."

(snip)
The group will also call on lawmakers to oppose raising the retirement age.

2. Now, is that sensible?
We're all supposed to make nice, and not be all partisan and stuff. That makes the baby Jesus cry and David Broder frown. Let's wait and see if the Republicans actually succeed in fucking up a generation of retirees before we rush to any judgment. That's the sensible thing to do!

3. Right. Lets wait to see what the President's cat food commission rams thru the senate before we act.
