1. It's interesting how few New Yorkers are opposed. It's all these hillbillies
talking up 'radical Islam' and ties to terrorism, not the people who live here, and saw 9/11/01 come and go firsthand and are still alive and well.

9. New York State. What about New York City?
I don't know anyone who feels strongly about it. And besides, upstaters are always complaining that they want to divest themselves of NYC. So fine. 'Mind your business, and we'll mind ours.'

2. None? So far I've seen only these...
It is near the site of some of the buildings that had planes flown into them on 9/11, but for some reason although the Pentagon had a jet flown into it it is ok to have a mosque in it and the other mosques in NYC are fine.

It had debris on it from jets and other stuff from 9/11 attacks, but for some reason the Pentagon (which had a jet and debris) is ok to have a mosque in it and the other mosques in NYC are fine as well as every other building/place that was affected by the 9/11 attacks.

It is spreading the word of Islam and that is against the rules since there is no separation of church/state or freedom of religion in USA.

Every Muslim is bad.

Hmmm, nope, none of those "several good reasons" yet. I'll wait a while longer.

4. It's a wonderful $100 million dollar idea. You are right to support it.
Since any Muslim of heart or compassion will be donating for Pakistan relief, I do so hope you will dip into your own funds to build this wonderful monument to cooking and basketball.

8. Ah, so no mosques can be built until every Muslim is perfect?
You know, there are Christians suffering around the world too. Haiti comes to mind, as does the plight of Orthodox Christians in Russia and Arab Christians in Iraq. I say, no more Christian-funded construction, be it churches, hospitals, community centers, etc, until EVERY Christian has donated funds to aid all those fellow Christians in need around the world.
