How big is the Democratic "tent"??
Is it big enough to hold the "Tea-Baggers" that will be bad-mouthed by the Republicans after the next election? They will be blamed if the Republicans do not win the House or Senate.

Under what circumstances would the "Democratic big tent" have room for disenchanted Tea Partiers??

4. I'm wiith Obama on this.
"Big Tent" may or not be appropriate to the Democratic Party, but it most definitely IS for the office of the Presidency. But he's taking careful note of whoever spits in his outstretched palm!

8. The democratic wing would
The truth is, save a few of the true nutjobs, the tea party folks are just pissed off populists. Populism has always fit well in the democratic party, occasioanlly to our detriment. But if the democrats could find a way to inject some "drama" into their governing and bring a voice to the disenchantment over what's been done to our economy, many of those folks would fit in just fine. The folks that worked this astroturf campaign won't ever fit. But the guy worried that he'll never get to retire, or that his kids aren't going to have a job, is looking for someone to stand up and say that this isn't right and it's time to fix it. And demanding that he buy health insurance isn't gonna do that because he already had health insurance and his problem is that health CARE is getting too expensive.

9. Larouchies consider themselves Dems. They are not welcome. They are assholes
Tea-Baggers are Republicans who voted for Bush twice as he screwed up this country. They are not going to change their voting habits and vote for any Dem.
