MARYSVILLE, Ohio — U.S. Route 42 was lined for miles on Friday as 172 men and women of the Ohio National Guard received a hero's welcome.

The Ohio National Guard's 585th Military Police Unit returned home after a year-long deployment in Iraq, 10TV's Glenn McEntyre reported.

Community members lined U.S. 42 through Plain City and beyond.
