Gibbs outed as Republican mole
Gibbs Outed as Republican Mole (Satire)
Michael Collins
(Satire)

White House Press Secretary, Robert "the mole" Gibbs, was outed last night for his lead role in throwing the 2010 congressional election to the Republican Party. The White House refused to return calls to comment on the charge or verify the outline of the carefully orchestrated plot. But a variety of off the record sources spoke as one - the plot is real and has been going on long before the 2008 general election. The scope of the plot goes well beyond the upcoming congressional contests.

In a recent interview for The Hill newspaper, Gibbs used an entirely new technique in election tactics - offend and humiliate a key element of your voting block right before a critical election. Gibbs ridiculed progressives as part of the "Professional Left" and said, “They will be satisfied when we have Canadian health care and we’ve eliminated the Pentagon. That’s not reality.” Research indicates that this approach has never been used within 90 days of a general election.

But the story goes much deeper than simple electoral politics. The planned outburst has a short term benefit for Republicans but, as we will see, Gibbs is reporting to a higher authority.

2. It really is good satire
Having mastered the dark arts, Gibbs took on his first high profile assignment for the shadow world government, communications director for John Kerry's ill fated 2004 presidential campaign. Gibbs made sure that the race stayed close, despite the public revulsion with Bush. A former Gibbs associate, who has since been deprogrammed, said, "It was no accident that the Kerry campaign remained silent to the Swift Boat smears. Gibbs wrote the damn smears!"

In another revealing chapter from 2004, Gibbs created an ad attacking Howard Dean as an inept opponent for the then dead Osama bin Laden. Gibbs was the spokesman for the ad sponsor, Americans for Jobs, Health Care and Progressive Values.

In just one campaign cycle, Gibbs had tomb-stoned the only progressive in the field and assured that candidate Kerry was so far down after the swiftboating, there could be no recovery.

These moves attracted the attention of another DeGrimston pupil, Rahm Emanual. Gibbs came on as the Obama's communications director and worked his special brand of magic. He saw to it that candidate Obama returned to the Capitol in late September, 2008 to save the Wall Street bailout, which had suffered a resounding defeat just days earlier. All the while, the devious Gibbs made sure that Obama left enough progressive crumbs on the campaign trail to trick the people into thinking he would work in their interests.

One may not like the message but it is good satire.
thanks for posting it before I had to leave to go to my 9th level Free Masons meeting.

And the ghost that follows him for the rest of the career should be called Dean's Revenge in honor of a 'what goes around comes around' moment

20. Now that was real!
The Dean nastiness. What kind of guy is this Gibbs? The type who would turn on his base right before
a big election? I rest my case.

4. Gibbs is a fictional character
Edited on Fri Aug-13-10 10:34 AM by msedano
although NCIS is real. It's important that we separate fiction from politics. That is change we can believe, although I prefer folding cash.

mvs

recommended.

8. Its Satire!
Or is it?......

That's why I really liked the piece.

I forgot Gibbs was so involved with the Kerry campaign for some reason.

I remember most of us on DU screaming and asking why the campaign didn't answer the swift boaters.

Anyway its Satire............ Right?......... LOL

22. Maybe I'll be recruited by the White House
"Hey, this guy can really sling it." It would be like Judith Miller going from Pacifica to being a
"pro" for the War Party. Maybe I'd get a corner office and a cameo on West Wing;)

He's too above-the-belt for scummy slime-fests that alter public perception such as this.

May KKKarl be free and prosper.

15. It's hard to see what goes on in the shadows of today's politics
But there's an odor wafting from Gibbs' comment that smells vaguely turdblossomesque, don't you think?

(Canadian health care, the drug testing of liberals, etc.)
