Teabagger calls Indian American Dem opponent a "turban topper"; blames incorrect link

Republican congressional nominee Mike Pompeo worked to control backlash Thursday after a staff member urged the campaign's social media followers to read a post describing Democratic candidate Raj Goyle as a "turban topper."

Under the tag line "here's a good read about the Team Pompeo campaign," hundreds of Pompeo's Twitter and Facebook followers were directed to the blog of a retired Marine living in Wichita that referred to Goyle with the ethnic slur and to President Barack Obama as an "evil Muslim communist."
