I do.

"The GOP has a HUGE generic-ballot edge in the South (52%-31%), but it doesn't lead anywhere else. In the Northeast, Dems have a 55%-30% edge; in the Midwest, they lead 49%-38%; and in the West, it's 44%-43%."

Republican Party Only Winning Key 2010 Poll In Southern States

I've said one thing over and over for years: the GOP is trying to southernize the US--i.e., the "southern strategy" writ large. If it were only about un-asked-for sugar in my tea, that would be one thing. But it's not.

To quote Mr. Young:
Oh Alabama.
Can I see you and shake your hand.
Make friends down in Alabama.
I’m from a new land
I come to you and see all this ruin
What are you doing Alabama?
You got the rest of the union to help you along
What’s going wrong?

5. That was just a marketing gimmick. Ronnie and Neil were buddies
Neil wrote Powderfinger for Ronnie to sing.

Alas, that plane crash prevented that from happening.

3. actually if this holds up it is pretty good news
we can only lose those southern seats once. In the Senate the only seat we currently hold that is up in the south is Lincoln's and we will lose it. On the other had we have PA in the north east, and Illinois and Wisconsin in the midwest. I know the in the House we made gains in the South (NC is majority Dem right now for instance) but we made huge gains in the midwest. I actually like those polls.
