Sestak MUST have the WORST campaign manager EVER
For the last 2 months here in the Pittsburgh
media market, Toomey has virtually saturated
the airwaves with his "Sestak's too liberal"
bullshit. Response from Joe: **crickets**

WTF, Admiral? Didn't 30+ years in the military
teach you a little something about FIGHTING BACK??

:argh:

2. As a fellow PA resident, I am also concerned. But
I am thinking that Sestak doesn't have the same level of funds as Toomey, and he is planning to use his money closer to election time. I don't know if this strategy will work with the pounding he is taking at the hands of Toomey, but over the years, I have noticed that the last things people hear stick with them much more than what they heard in August.

Please....let his strategy work. I like Sestak and do not want to wish we had Specter instead. Now that man would be fighting back right now.

4. Right. The RW can simply buy seats...
...by making people vote however they want them to.

5. How much money does Sestak have?
He may not have the funds to flood the airways now.

8. His website doesn't say
http://joesestak.com/Home/Home.html?key=37596530

You'd think he'd have at least some money to
counter these early attacks.

10. Here is some info on fund-raising...
from the N Y Times blog:

Score this round – in the fund-raising battle, that is – for Pat Toomey.

The Pennsylvania Republican raised $3.1 million for his Senate campaign during the second quarter, according to a statement released Tuesday — outpacing his Democratic rival, Representative Joe Sestak, by more than $1 million. (Mr. Toomey’s campaign seemed more than happy to point out that fact in its release.)

For his part, Mr. Sestak brought in just under $2 million in the second quarter and has roughly $2 million on hand, his campaign said Tuesday.

Mr. Toomey’s camp also announced that it has $4.65 million on hand and had raised more than $10 million since the former congressman announced he was running for Senate in April 2009. “As I travel across the state, I meet more and more Pennsylvanians who want to join our campaign in order to bring true change and fiscal sanity to Washington,” Mr. Toomey said in his campaign’s release.

20. I agree, but $2 mil for the whole state of PA is not much.
I guess we have to dig deeper, because Toomey is a nightmare.

How can someone smart enough to choose Obama over Senile Johnny be dumb enough to elect a lunatic like Toomey?

15. Standard GOP practice: 1. Define the opponent 2. Run against that image
I'm not in PA, but reading this thread makes me think that Toomey is right in the middle of step 1.

16. maybe he doesn't have money, but one reason i supported Arlen Specter
was because i didn't think Sestak could handle the bigger campaign . i'm not from PA so i didn't vote or anything but i Specter was the candidate i did prefer.

i hope i am wrong about this and things will change.

the same is happening in California with Whitman taking up the airwaves attacking Jerry Brown. but i know that is because Brown has limited funds . but we are still trying to work around this with others putting out ads against whitman .

22. I just got an email for a fundraiser for Sestak. It says in it
"Pat Toomey has received multiple millions from Wall Street where he was employed. Also, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is underwriting the cost of advertisements on radio and television in his behalf. I'm sure the National Republican Senatorial Committee also will be contributing to Toomey's campaign. The Republicans see PA as a vulnerable state. Let's prove them wrong."

So there you go----they are outspending us with Chamber of Commerce money.
