Motherfucker. Looks like Osama bin Laden won.
Wasn't his plan to bankrupt America by getting us to fight an endless war on terror?

Reading this post on DU's front page:

it looks like bin Laden's plan worked like a charm.

Great game of 47-dimensional chess, prez.

1. It may have been his plan, and it may have also been the CIA's plan
what better way to employ the shock doctrine?

2. would have happened regardless
of OBL's neafarious plans.

since WW2, we've seen a relentless atomization of the populace through unidirectional media, and a concurrent retreat from the civic realm. if you never use the public space (including your front door since you go in and out through your garage), then why would you want to pay to light it up at night?

not to mention the GOP's endless promotion of selfishness.

8. If the neighbors wouldn't have lit up their driveways and trees
last week, I would have been able to see the Northern Lights.

3. And natch, you blame the prez. You might want to
find another target there, even if I disagree with you that bin Laden won anything.

4. And of course no one wanted to talk about the economic impact
of losing the WTC...just the bloodlust for war and vengance. Even the Dems signed on for a well known farce (Iraq). OBL really didn't have to do much...just follow his CIA training.
