The Christian Right's routine is that Judge Walker should have recused himself because he is gay.
But, just look at this statement by Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council:
"Had this guy been ... an evangelical preacher in his past there would have been cries for him to step down from this case."
LinkNotice how Perkins doesn't say "Had this guy been ... an evangelical preacher in his past there would have been cries for him to step down from this case
and WE would have been the ones making those cries."
He's basically really saying that the other side would have complained if that was the case. Well, this is about the law and constitutionality, not Crossfire style politics.
Maybe the teabaggers and the freepers don't know it; but Perkins, Wildmon, and the rest of them know that this argument they're making is 100% subjective and not based in law at all.
