Prison Guard who killed for rifle to overthrow govt - 15 guns found at home
Investigators found three T-shirts with “possible blood splatter” and more than a dozen firearms in the home of a man charged with killing lawyer Todd Getgen.

Documents filed in Cumberland County Court on Thursday detailed what police say they found inside Raymond F. Peake’s house in Hampden Township. Authorities say Peake, a guard at the State Correctional Institute at Camp Hill and a former Marine, shot and killed Getgen at a North Middleton Township shooting range on July 21.

Police say they found a small arsenal inside Peake’s red brick split-level house with white siding in the 5200 block of Terrace Road.

Police found seven shotguns, five rifles and three handguns, the documents state. Ammunition, documents, two computers and a copy of the book “Notes of a Russian Sniper” were also taken from the home.

I want to know what other books they found. And what channel the cable box is set to.

1. Great letter to editor on this case
First Amendment rights come with responsibilities

As I travel locally for work, I often take lunch at a taproom rather than fast food, and more than once this year I have been slowly introduced to numerous conspiracy theories, mis-characterizations and racial bigotry toward the president by a nearby patron.

I’m aghast that “exercising our Second Amendment rights,” which is code for armed insurrection, so easily rolls off the tongue by those attempting to enlighten me to their dark reality. It’s sad to think that Todd Getgen might have met his end by the hand of one of these “True – Believers.”

Our First Amendment rights come along with responsibilities. We can say whatever we want, but if you maliciously yell “fire” in a crowded theater, you should be held to account for the mayhem and potential injuries that occur to others as a result of your thoughtless speech.

I think that media personalities, current political leaders and those hoping to be elected have a responsibility to deeply consider what they are preaching to garner followers or votes. The ends don’t justify the means, but the possible motive behind the alleged perpetrator’s act, which might have ended Todd Getgen’s life, is troubling even if half true.

In the last five years, as an election poll worker, I’ve yet to see 100 percent turnout (75 percent at the most). I suggest that if people don’t like the duly elected officials or their policies, they should come in and vote for change.

2. Those who spout "Second Amendment Remidies"
...seem to suffer from the mistaken belief that liberals can't hit a bullseye at 200 yards 5 times in a row.

I, for one, can.

And if I ever end up living in "a Christiam America" I'm going to take the oath seriously.

Defend her from all enemies, foreign or domestic.
