They will keep doing this and doing this and doing this and doing
this until decent people slap them down.

I find myself being shocked at the baseness of the Republican party...at its open racism and hatred of working people, at its obscene disrespect of the First Family, at the blatent disregard of the danger we are in...I am shocked, I sit here and I shake my head.

Not enough for good people to be shocked. I have to get out there, tomorrow, and begin begging all my friends and family to vote.

I need to start now and I need to be tireless.

If I don't, what happens to US becomes my fault, not theirs.

You with me?

4. I'm with you.
But I already have my family and friends locked up save one.

I'm ready to move on to converting strangers.

And I'm in complete agreement that this situation with the radical right has gotten out of hand.

The drive to sign up voters must continue and we must support progressives who run for office in local races, either financially, or by volunteering to canvass neighborhoods or make phone calls. Most folks can do these things.

When I've done these types of things I get a great deal of satisfaction because I know I've made a difference.

We can't rest. Ever.

Those other guys don't.

5. 100%.. the DFL will win here. We have to get the people in
Minneapolis to kick Bachman's butt out.

9. Unfortunately, the people of Minneapolis have no say.
Bachman's Congressional District (6th) is the northern suburbs, from St Cloud to Stillwater.
I've seen confederate flags in White Bear Lake.
It is a pretty RED area.

All the people of Minneapolis (or anywhere else) can do is contribute heavily to her Democratic opponent, Tarryl Clark.

6. I'm not going to be quite as tireless as you, but yeah,
I'm voting straight Democrat because they really are the lesser of two evils. I am, however, struggling greatly with their spinal issues and their sometimes straight out betrayal. But if the mother of my hero is so gung ho, I think I can show more gumption.

7. You sound like what I went thru in 2008.... "if only we work harder"
.. then today I see where Mr. Obama kicked Christina Romer to the curb and embraced fuck-face Larry Summers.

Once again Mr. Obama bows to Goldman-Sachs. Just sayin'

8. I've been going through it since 1960.

And I hate to tell you, it doesn't get any better.

But at least a few people are helped along the way. And you can look yourself in the eye in a mirror.
