Just got to vent! Tweety is an insufferable asshole!!!!
Didn't get to see Tweety until the late re-run tonite, thus the posting now but his performance has me spitting blood. He first has on that insufferable bitch Wendy Wright of Concerned Bigots against Everybody (or whatever the name of her organization is this week, she's had so many) to discuss the court ruling in Prop 8. What's painfully obvious from the beginning is that Tweety hadn't done even a modicum of homework and had some staffer at least cursorily brief him on what the judge's decision said. He has no focus, no cohesion and no question of any value. Between that and his increasingly annoying habit of never letting one of his questions be answered he let her dance all around him, make her talking points, mocking him and letting ger walk away unscathed. I compare that to how that interview would have gone with Rachel and it's absolutely disgusting.

This little segment was followed by a section on the Rethug's war on "anchor babies". Two guests - Phil Gingrey, Georgia's finest (on screen without his Klan outfit) and Luis Gutierrez (D). Once again Tweety didn't seem to even understand what the issue was and cut Gutierrez's time short so he could talk (and overtalk) Gingrey, once again letting the Rethug walk away unscathed and Gutierrez (who used his short time to make a very eloquent and precise criticism of the Repub tactics) sitting there with his thumb up his ass.

Tweety is just an embarrassment. He's past whatever prime he once had, and MSNBC ought to drop him. Get some fresh talent that's not lazy and doesn't "phone it in" most days.

OK - Rant over. Thanks for listening, but I had to get it off my chest.

5. He's really starting to lose it
Recently I have noticed that while the show was never that good it seems to be getting progressively worse. Its like hes not even trying anymore and just getting more and more irrelevant.

He seriously doesn't seem to have a basic understanding of whatever topic hes talking about like 95% of the time and its painful to watch him spout bullshit while his guests are just like, wtf is this guy talking about?

MSNBC really needs to get rid of him, he is going to do something really stupid one of these days and its going to reflect badly on the network.

7. Can I be the Devil's Advocate here. It just might be that Tweety
is showing us reality. All those topics are going to be front
and center in the coming elections. Tweety could just be
warning us to be prepared. In every district in this country,
the local representatives(rank and file republicans) will
be putting out fliers, doing whisper campaigns etc. The Candidates
may not mention them but the buzz will be about them. This is
how they get people to the polls.

If Tweety only gave once side, we could end up blindsided and
never understand why we lost.

We have time to prepare. Being prepared is half the battle.

9. cannot stand to listen to him, ever.-- want to really get angry? was trying to watch "9/11: press
for the truth" on link (between storms) and caught a segment with him, whining about how the families of the 9/11 victims, who were pressing for investigations, "just couldn't get over it, get on with their lives. they have to find a cause" and more in that vein. I had to mute it, it was so sickening.

he may have occasional moments of good, but they are few and far between.

I think he is just fine...

I simply don't watch his show and he really doesn't bother me a bit.

12. I see no reason for him to ever have guests
No matter who is on he does not let anybody talk. He over talks everybody. I guess it is a hang over from the days he was on that show as a panelist. Forgot the name. That guy in the wheel chair is a regular. If he is going to give a monologue than why doesn't he just sit there for an hour and talk about what he wants to. it is a waste of time to have guests. AND if Rachel Maddow and Keith get their facts straight how come Matthews constantly fails in that respect.

13. Tweety never does homework
but he watches lots of movies. Two days ago he was talking about some conclusion he had reached after watching a movie - I was ROFL.
But hey he does have good days and he's one of our confused Dems.
