I am resorting to a bit of a nuclear option myself, day 32
08/05/2010

Office of U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill
United States Senate
Hart Senate Office Building, Ste. 717
Washington, D.C. 20510

Senator McCaskill:

Tonight the US Senate confirmed Judge James Andrew Wynn, Jr. to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit on a voice vote. This small but of positive news is an exception to what has been an extraordinary poor job by the Senate in confirming judicial nominations.

I have been writing to you every weekday about Jane Stranch, nominee to the 6th US Circuit, whose confirmation vote is now scheduled for September 13th according to Legal Times. Do you know why the Majority Leader plans to wait nearly 10 months without filing for cloture on this nomination?

This is my 32nd correspondence with you about her nomination. I will continue to write to you and Senate Majority Leader every weekday until such time as this noncontroversial and qualified nominee is confirmed.

Sincerely,

(snip)

cc: Senator Reid
