Danny Tarkanian's mom to go after Sharron Angle

Lois Tarkanian, the mother of a former GOP Senate candidate in Nevada, will join Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's (D-Nev.) campaign to hit Sharron Angle, the Republican candidate who defeated her son in a primary.

Tarkanian, the wife of former UNLV basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian and the mother of former Republican Senate candidate Danny Tarkanian, will join Reid's campaign to "call out Sharron Angle's extreme and dangerous positions against Nevada's working families."

Reid's campaign notes that this will be Lois Tarkanian's first appearance on behalf of the incumbent Democrat. She is a councilwoman for Las Vegas.

Comedienne Rita Rudner will also join in the appearance.
