Edited on Thu Aug-05-10 11:12 AM by Webster Green
Yes -- Prop. 8 violates the Constitution. 63% (145,088 votes)

No -- Marriage is an institution between a man and a woman. I don't care what the judge thinks about the Constitution. 32% (72,222 votes)

I'm not sure but shouldn't the voters views count for something? 4% (10,235 votes)

Other (leave a comment). 1% (1,485 votes)

Total Votes: 229,030

2. Subtle push-polling.
"Shouldn't the voter's views count for something?"

Now let's make it fair:

"Should it be possible to amend the Constitution by popular vote?"

4. I find this bit most disturbing of all...
"I don't care what the judge thinks about the Constitution."

Who are the first to howl and whine that our Constitution is being "shredded?"

This is the reason our Constitution was ammended... so bigoted bias couldn't change things, regardless of their numbers. Just because there are a LOT of bigots doesn't mean their bigotry is a good thing.

5. Never mind that the same Constitution obligates the judge to act as he did.
I'm afraid we'll lose this one in SCOTUS anyway, but hope springs eternal.

7. I don't think we'll lose it...
I think Judge Walker set the groundwork beautifully. In order to overturn his decision, the SCOTUS is required to refute each and every point contained in Walker's decision. Oh, they may be able to back out of a few items, but the main items are irrefutable, Constitutional elements. The Constitution would require much change... and that could take years.

6. Pox News? OK, color me astonished.
The replies are numerous enough that no one group could have turned it around, especially since most of us out here in the real world have no use for Pox and never to go there to see what stupid ass poll they're running.
