2. We did it by the courts here in little old and I mean old
Iowa. (right behind Florida I think.. our populace is pretty old)

I think the wind is to the back on the issue now. If you can be gay and marry in Iowa.. well you know the rest of the country is about to move.

5. Congrats!.. I think this might be the one.. that will go to the SCOTUS
I understand there are a number of courts in line, but this one might push to the head of the line.

7. yes, agreed, it will get there soon enough. thing is, can we expect a 5-4 ruling on this, or, could
we dare dream of a unanimous decision despite the ultra rightwing Scalia and Thomas? Not that we need their votes, but it'd be nice for a change to see them all stand up for equality because there's no grounds to block any 2 taxpayers from getting the same benefits as 2 other taxpayers who just happen to be opposite sex?
