Proposition H8 of to the Supreme Court
Edited on Wed Aug-04-10 06:34 PM by TheBigotBasher
I can pretty much predict 6 of the votes before it even gets there. Enjoy the champagne but that battle will not be easy.

1. I believe it has to go through the Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth District first
Where the smackdown will probably be upheld.

8. Yes, they certainly will try to get a hearing in the SC
But the SC is not obligated to hear any particular case, so it might not actually go there.

2. If the ninth court upholds this opinion I don't believe the Extreme court will touch it.
 and I am fairly certain the Ninth will uphold it..

5. I'm pretty certain the 9th will uphold the decision.
There is however a lot of money in hate.

7. The Supreme Court will pretty much have to hear the case
I don't see how, if the 9th Circuit upholds this decision, then it will apply to the following states nullifying their laws on Same Sex Marriage

District of Alaska
District of Arizona
Central District of California
Eastern District of California
Northern District of California
Southern District of California
District of Hawaii
District of Idaho
District of Montana
District of Nevada
District of Oregon
Eastern District of Washington
Western District of Washington

The good news however is that if the Supremes get this case, remember that it was Justice Kennedy who was the swing vote in overturning the Texas sodomy laws.

3. There are only 2 that I can predict:
L*ng D*ng Silver, and Can't Administer The Oath Worth A Crap.

I've got to think that some actual reflection may occur on the parts of the other 4 suspects.

6. I can predict 8. It's only Kennedy that's not a given.
