Clearly when the stakes are truly earthshaking political comity rules.

As I pointed out, when the stakes are immeasurably high our politicians can come together for the good of the country, every rational American knows that pot brownies are the most existential threat we face as a nation.

They did it for the children.

it's because voters don't (by and large) read and understand what is going on. They just hear in passing what the mainstream media tells them.
