5. Some of us are deaf and desperately wish people would offer
brief summaries.

8. This is a very long ..
.... (over an hour) talk on the big picture of how our government is operating only in interest of the rich. It starts with a rather poignant portrait of how our media builds celebrities up to tear them down and makes the case for Micheal Jackson being victim. (I will confess to not having much in the way of sympathy for MJ but the case here is pretty compelling).

You can google "Chris Hedges" and find plenty of text in a similar vein.

I realize that some might find this material "sensational" or "overblown".

I think it is pretty close to real.

7. Amazing Lecture
It further opened my eyes to the current state of affairs in our "democracy."

The important message (among many) was that we must fight even if we know that we will fail. I have little hope of our salvation during my lifetime. However, I will fight for my children and their children's children.

10. Chris Hedges is a national treasure. While he
paints a bleak picture for us, it is hard to dispute the reality of his arguments.
