1. Did you notice the difference...
Did you notice how she kept interrupting Pelosi to make it hard for her to explain anything? She was pretty easy on Gates. I thought the difference was noticeable.

5. I too was underwhelmed.
She did indeed interrupt PELOSI constantly and kissed up to GATES. And her gotcha-wannabe question to PELOSI, "You didn't vote, aren't required to vote, on the" Afghan war cash, "but how WOULD you have voted?!1" was a bomb. PELOSI burst her bubble (while being interrupted) by spelling out for her that she, PELOSI, is who brought up the thing for a vote and that troops in the field always needed subsistence while they are in harm's way.

All that said, the format is totally brick-bound, unchanged, even down to the "Sunday Funnies" and the obits, which seemed to me to be stamped with STEPANOUPOULIS. And I had been hostile to TAPPER when he started but had warmed up to him.

Plus, she looked giddy at this *promotion* if that's what it is. Quite different from the gravitas she projected from the war zones--or maybe it was the weather and the bugs that gave her gravitas before.
