1. You don't have both as a choice to choose.

2. IT IS A SHAME that Nelson doesn't have a primary opponent
the republican might as well win, cause he sure is one.

3. All of the above is most appropriate. I'm not sure why they are considered Dems?
At the National Convention, a Dem charter is established. It seems to me, they are the one's who choose to ignore the guidelines/ blue prints that are agreed upon. And just one of these asshats can and will hold up important legislation in the Senate to peacock around. At this point in time, when the American people actually need representation and real help, these idiots are playing politics and games. They are a quite a few I would call treasonous.. along with the lock-step party of no who call themselves Republicans.

Personally, I think its time to add 1 more Senator per state in the Senate body. AND that one Senator from each state must be a minority or woman. Old white dudes who haven't seen anything but country clubs and fine dining, haven't a clue as to what is really needed for the most of us... and I don't think they even care.

5. Even among blue dogs, Nelson stands out
The unemployment extension vote made this clear. All the other blue dogs, despite their faults, voted for it. That they stripped the bill of its jobs program is a separate issue, but Nelson didn't even support the stripped down version that the republican Senators from Maine did. He's not blue enough for the term "blue dog."
