It is comforting to know that people care. Actually, I had another heart attack on Sunday. I received another stent and am doing pretty well. I wish they could do open heart surgery on me but they say my vascular disease is too advanced. Thank God the Carpenters Union has kept me with good insurance or I would have died long ago.
It is so tragic watching others, my brothers and sisters too, suffering, needing surgery, with no insurance. That is one of the biggest scandals of our nation. If only America still cared for people before profits...
Before I helped in the rebuilding of Katrina, my heart disease was being managed. I had two major "M.I."'s there and surgeries. West Jefferson Memorial was the only Hospital still open. I am blessed.
