During the Bush admin we protested the wars. Now we have a Democrat in office, we arent? Why? What is the difference? Innocent children are being killed in our name, in your name. No four year promise. Get out now. Get out now.

4. It's maddening. Let the flippin' oil companies pay for the damned things,
we're only over there to protect their interests.

I want to see my tax dollars go towards people and infrastructure in this country, not providing a security force for the likes of BP.

8. End the confusion. These are not legal "wars", just acts of aggression.
There has been no declaration of war by congress. War or confusion?

These are theaters of conflict of an empire. An empire which has swept up dems and repubs alike in the confusion and madness into playing at being good soldiers and generals.

Take the profit out of making or faking war. .

11. I think ten years is long enough to at least come up with a rationale, a plan, and an endgame
Hell, if a once in a generation political talent can't explain the why, when, how's, and how much then it it's bogus on a very high level.

12. Anand Gopal did a straw poll of 24 US troops in Afghanistan on whether they supported the war
(specifically, he asked "whether the war in Afghanistan was worth fighting") Out of 24 troops, not one said the war was worth fighting.

The troops are there to get a paycheck and a college education. They shouldn't have to kill, die, and go insane to make a living.

ANTI-WAR IS PRO-SOLDIER

14. Vietnam
It is puzzling that during the Vietnam war we (the public) only knew what we saw on the evening news or newspapers. (I was a young teen at the time)
there was no CNN
there was no internet

and now - we know tons and tons of up to the minute information (except, of course those little secrets they don't tell us)and we are horrified

but there seemed to be so much more public outrage back then -- I remember huge protests, moratoriums, sit-ins,

do you think it was the draft that made people more motivated to act? The fear of having your number called?

I think we should be protesting, having sit-ins in front of the white house and all that stuff. I think we need to be seen. We are kind of invisible. sh*t, the teabaggers are out there - we should be too.
