and there was one thing that was clear to me. We have kids living in the 21st century facing a civilization that they don't understand, that is stuck in another age.

Listening to Fareed Zakharia discuss this today, no, not hte movie, but Afghanistan. I don't think many people get it. This is not a modern state, and we cannot hope to change it that fast.

It is time to get the hell out... but that is another story.

Oh and yes I do reccomend the film, if you want to actually learn how fucked up this actually is. And no, it is not the soldier's fault, but the policy makers in DC (and their neocon allies)
