Jack conway from kentucky running for the Dems..
Is against cap and trade, he is against the letting bush's tax cuts expire says he doesn't wamt any taxes raised for anything. He is against hemp farming or marijuana he said leave it to law enforcement.

I am sure there is more but, from what I see hear and have expected all along is that we have a new set of BLUEDOG/REPUBLIcons and the DNC seems to like it that way...

1. I don't think they like it that way...
I come from a conservative state similar to Kentucky (though probably more red).

My representative is a blue dog Democrat.

People here still think he's too liberal.

But in the end, that's a helluva lot more good than any Republican would do in that seat.

He voted to extend unemployment befits, BTW.

The other Republicans here (Bishop and that fucking tool Chaffetz) didn't.

11. We did primary him...
And for the first time in his career, was forced into a primary election. He won in a landslide - but it was nice voting for a liberal here...even if she lost.

2. Saw some of his 'debate' w. paul,
and he sounds FAR better than anything else we've seen from KY in recent memory.

4. I find it hard to get interested in helping elect Blue Dogs. What's the point?
What good is a majority if there are members who don't support the platform and the agenda? I'm sick of the whole bullshit story about two parties. In some states there are only RW Repubs and regular Repubs who call themselves Dems. If we're going to run candidatesnthere, why not at least TRY to run a real Dem? If they lose, whatbhave we really lost?

7. Federal Judges....
Most blue dogs will give the president the benifit of the doubt on appointments.

In the long run, that is extrememly important.

12. Healthcare, unemployment, the stimulus, financial reform...
Just to name a few. We had a lot of blue dog support there.

Public option. Thanks to Nelson, Lincoln, and Holy Joe (I know, he's not a Dem anymore). Nelson held up the unemployment extension. They just can't be counted on. I suspect they are the main reason a lot of our bills come out compromised from the start, then they get compromised even further by "bipartisanship".

16. I agree with you...
But switch their seats to Republican seats and we don't get anything. Bupkus. You know what I mean?

It's a catch 22, I guess.

6. He's a good fit for Kentucky
The Democrats only hold majorities because of a mix of progressives and blue dogs, that's where the strength has always been. I don't have a problem with a mix.

9. I'm sorry, but Ted Kennedy is a) dead, and b) not from Kentucky.
Bernie Sanders clones won't fly in every state. You take what you can get--and have you LOOKED at Rand Paul?

I'll be voting for him, not R. Paul.

15. Ah, Kentucky's version of Evan Bayh,
a vapid well connected pretty boy lacking original thought, vision or courage. He's as American as Cheez Whiz, and about as real.
