File this under facepalm: Christian Right group draws up impeachment paper for Obama
Edited on Sat Jul-24-10 02:08 PM by ck4829
From the so-called Faith and Freedom Institute:

Barack H. Obama, has compiled a number of personal offenses that qualify him for impeachment from the office of the presidency. Among those offenses are the following:

A. The act of not providing a clear copy of his official and complete birth certificate indicating that he is a natural born citizen of the United States of America as is called for in Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution where it reads, “No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States…shall be eligible to the office of the President.”
(Yes, he has. You could carry on a more intelligent debate with a rock.)

B. The act governing contrary to the spirit of the Constitution by the establishing of numerous “czars” who have no accountability to Congress, but who answer to the President alone.
(You mean like Karl Rove? Wrong President, sorry.)

C. The act of subverting United States sovereignty by bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia.
(You mean like letting Henry Kissinger stop a wire from being sent out warning about Operation Condor just before assassins working on behalf of Pinochet murder Orlando Letelier? Wrong President again, sorry.)

D. The intrusive act of confiscating private industry, (i.e., the take over of General Motors Corporation, Chrysler, and Bank of America – even dictating employees salaries), thereby making them accountable to the President alone.
(Who actually took over those banks again?)

E. The incessant desire to develop a civilian militia or military style organization that would be “as well funded and organized as the United States military,” to operate exclusively at the discretion of the President.
(Uh... What?)

F. The overt attempt to force national health care on businesses and individuals, who oppose such, through creating a public health care option that would place individual insurance companies in competition with the United States Government.
(Oh no, private companies could NEVER compete with the government. That's why FedEx and private schools all failed as soon as they started.)

G. The act of disregarding the law of the United States of America by not publicly recognizing the National Day of Prayer which was signed into law in 1952 by President Harry S. Truman.
(Sorry, wall. *bangs head*)

H. The act of appointing to high level positions persons of questionable integrity who display treasonous animosity toward the United States (i.e., Van Jones, former “Environmental Czar”; Kevin Jennings, “Safe School Czar”; FCC head Mark Lloyd, etc.) and whose actions violate the letter and spirit of our national philosophy.
(You mean like that one guy, Elliott Abrams, who responded to the murder of an American citizen by contras by saying "Well, he shouldn't have been in a war zone."? Oh, that was by your man-god, sorry.)

I. The act of violating the oath of the presidency by neglecting to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.
(He's making you guys upset, by how you guys sound, he must be protecting it very well.)

To have guys like this have so much power and influence, there has got to be a punchline somewhere, right? Right?

1. Ahahaha this is both hilarious and pathetic.
Nothing they have mentioned is an impeachable offense.

Czars are nothing new, there is no such "civilian militia" (except perhaps in their diseased little minds) and the fact that they think health care is being "forced" on them...well, I really just don't know what to say to that.

is governing while black.......or mixed race, or whatever.

Do these people realize what kind of smear they are leaving on the entire US population?

No, it's not fair. But it is what happens.

5. the czars..hmmm-did Bush have any?
http://www.factcheck.org/UploadedFiles/Czars.pdf

Czars Under the George W. Bush Administration
The following is FactCheck.org’s count of Bush administration positions whose holders were dubbed “czars” in one or more news articles. We include only one name per position, though many positions were held by multiple people during the administration. In some cases, the same “czar” nickname (e.g. “cybersecurity czar”) was applied to more than one job title. In these cases we have counted the two separate positions as two “czars.” Senate-confirmed positions are marked with a star. Non-president-appointed positions are marked with a dagger.

10. Obviously they were taking notes while they watched Glenn Beck.
But there is no impeachable offense there... as a matter of fact, most of those things aren't even a half-assed semblance of truth.

There is something I wonder though, Obama is continuing some Bush policies which would be grounds for impeachment. Do you think the fervor for a coup d'etat against Obama could reach a point where they'd be willing to sacrifice Bush and put him in jail as well to do it?

Poor old Satan must be somewhat off his game if the worst wickedness his satanic majesty can offer right now is hiding birth certificates and bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia and such

13. Wow! Sounds like charges the Soviets trumped up to send people to gulags
I especially liked the one about violating "the letter and spirit of our national philosophy" and the charge of having an "incessant desire." I wonder on what planet THOSE are codified?
