1. Petroleum

That is a problem. However, I am old enough to remember milk, juice, and soda in glass bottle. Meat was wrapped in butcher paper. You were given your groceries in brown paper bags. Quite a number of things were made from metals, not plastic, but then we didn't have all the high tech items we do today.

I suppose we could go back to many of the ways we did in the past (like glass), but gasoline in cars is probably the most use of petroleum.
