Some of the treasures one finds
so I went to the storage unit to start doing the things that need to go, things that will stay... you all know the game.

So I found some VCRs, and one of them was the full copy of The Civil War. I no longer own a VCR... so I took that, with some books and some clothes to the thrift store. I do hope somebody still has a VCR and chiefly appreciates it.

I also found my ancient Graduate school books on the Writing of History... so I will re-read that... and a few other treasures.

What is amazing is that it will take months of half an hour every so often to clear them... but I am ok with that.

Oh and the Civil War... well I will replace it someday with the DVD version. It is one of the best series out there. What burns... speaking of consumerism... is that it will have to be replaced. Perhaps get a Blue Ray one of these days and get a few more years out of it.

I also found some movies... so I can have a nice movie marathon with hubby...

3. I started cleaning out my garage a couple of months ago and it
was like going through someone else's garage sale. With every opening of another box I found treasures I had always wanted to find at a garage sale, and obviously did. We humans are at odd lot.
