It's official: Dick Cheney has no pulse!
Oh, Dick Cheney Has No Pulse, By the Way
Some doctor man (don’t get near Glenn Beck!) wrote about Dick Cheney’s Polly Pocket robot heart in today’s The New York Times, and it turns out Dick Cheney no longer has a pulse, though he is stubbornly still alive. Dick Cheney’s blood now just flows continually, like the River Styx. He doesn’t need your lowly “pumping!” Cheney will probably be “urged to wear bracelets or other identifications to alert emergency room doctors” as to why he has no pulse, as it probably won’t be the first reason that comes to mind.

The limited success has proved wrong the many experts who said people could not live without a pulse. The thought was that since the heart had a beat, that beat was needed for blood pressure and circulation.

No, no, Dick Cheney does not need such “human” things as a pulse to continue “living.”

2. I appreciate all of the advances that they've made in cardiac medicine.
I'm alive and my wife is alive due to these advances.

The negative side to these advances is that a creature like Cheney is still around to cause more death and destruction. I've abandoned the hope that this will keep him alive long enough to finally face charges for war crimes, but miracles do happen.

4. It does give me a nice image of Cheney as a lab rat.
I wonder if it bothers him to know that he might be helping people that he would normally treat as though their lives were not worth anything?

In the name of science, he's an asset. In the name of humanity, well...........not so much.

6. This is the near end of Cheney.
A paramedic friend of mine says that this type of thing is usually just short term until a transplant can be found.

Since a normally harvested human heart would likely reject Cheney this will probably not keep him alive for long.

8. I guess that in a way, this is the trial that Cheney deserved.
CHF is about as bad as his punishment could be.

My wife's Dad died before we were married, but when we look at pictures of him, you would never guess that he was barely over 50.

He looked as though he was about 75 or 80.

My wife pointed out to me that I've aged A LOT (same age as her father when he died) in the last three years due to my heart attacks. I didn't need to hear that, but they are able to do so much more now, that I figure that with any luck I'll be around for many more years.
