I got a question about Sheriff Arapaio

I just caught the latest version of da Sheriff. He's an old geezer. Is it WAY past his retirement? I hope Goddard finds balls to kick Arapaio out, or do soemthing about the sheriff position (make it a appointment, instead of an election - so Arapaio doesn't get in) - or indict him for A-Z (personally, I view Arapaio as a criminal, and should be prosecuted under the federal RICO statute. I just cannot understand why the government would allow inhuman treatment, like Tent City. Hell, even in that show Lockdown Extended Stay - the tent temperature was 121, and Arapaio said 'meh!'.

1. Arpaio will be 80 when his term ends

He has stated he will run again in 2012. Goddard is not going to take on Joe if he lucks up and beats Brewer for governor which I doubt. Brewer has a 20+ lead and Goddard is scared to say too much against 1070 since for some crazy reason, he thinks that is going to get him votes.

3. this is why I am voting for a republican for the first time

Rick Romley for attorney general (no dem running against him) plus Sheriff Joe cannot stand him. He is very open minded and also has supported some Dems in the past. He is an old fashion Republican. I'm in my late 60's and never ever voted for a Republican before but this time around Az needs him. I changed to undeclared to vote for him.
