Nobody Will Buy Bristol and Levi's Boring Reality TV Show
Are we ready to declare this rumor real, yet? Bristol and Levi's reality show was but a glimmer in the rumor mill's eye when we wrote about it. Now Page Six has confirmation—from TV executives rejecting the show.

The problem, it seems, is that Bristol and Levi are too boring for reality TV:

Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are hoping to launch a reality show about their upcoming wedding and life as newlyweds with son, Tripp, 2. But network honchos aren't enthusiastic. "Don't think we should do it. Neither of them have personalities," said one cable honcho. But Levi will bring in his sister and other relatives to make it work.

Levi's family is locked in a messy public feud with the Palin family, so if the show includes the Johnstons we might actually end up with that Wasilla Hillbillies soap opera I have been jokingly writing in all these posts. Hey Bristol and Levi, hire me to be your writer:

BRISTOL: (sighs) As much as I hate your sister, Levi, I think we have to hire Mercede—who mocks me and copies and pastes shit from my Facebook wall on her blog, MercedeJohnston.com—for our TV show.
LEVI: (stroking Bristol's hair) Maybe she and your brother Track can have a scene where they brainstorm four-letter curse words to make fun of you, my darling &?%#.
TRIPP: I am plotting my escape.

Sand through the hourglass, these are the Wasillans of our lives.

2. Sadly, considering what has the biggest audiences and is making the most $$ on TV these days,
I would not bet the farm that this absurdity will be a total bomb. I mean it WILL be a bomb..but people will watch, and it will have sponsors. :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:

13. Maybe a live-action "Family Guy" crossed with "Beverly Hillbillies"
with Tripp as Stewie.

18. Naw... the Beverly Hillbillies were too smart.
If you remember correctly, old Jed had tons of common sense - if not "book-learnin'" - and outsmarted the city slickers on every episode.

I'd say the Wasilla Hillbillies are more akin to the 2505 presidential staff from the movie Idiocracy.

6. when a "network executive" says you don't have a personality, that says quite a bit, given
that most network executives have the personality of wet toilet paper.

7. For a bit, I considered Levi somewhat smart... in a survival kind of way
Because he escaped the clutches of the Palin clan. I even understood why he would take on agents since he was going to be in the spotlight no matter what. It soon became apparent though that he had no interest in having an ordinary life but thought himself fascinating enough to become a star. Apparently that didn't work out for him, and it's apparently not going to work out for him and Bristol.

I guess they can continue living under the iron rule of Mama Palin, or go out and *gasp* get real jobs.

12. I always saw a grifter looking to make a buck once he realized Palin wasn't going to be VP
Edited on Mon Jul-19-10 11:28 AM by Mike Daniels
Even during his "feud" with Sarah he repeatedly said he could see voting for her again if she ran for office.

If Levi really had the "goods" on Sarah that many on DU thought he had he could have easily named his price. I'm pretty sure in that case that someone in the media would have raced to his door to hand him a check before the ink had dried. Once everyone realized he had "nothing" the interest in him dried up.

Simply, Levi's going to where the money is and if that means sucking up to Sarah then so be it.

9. isn't a sad state of affairs when a young couple with virtually no education has
to resort to living in a fish bowl to make a living?

many young couples struggle to survive, but these two "genius'" choose to exploit themselves and their child to make a living.

I know several young couples with a child that are doing the best they can to put one or both of themselves through college.

yet, due to the fishbowl type life bristols moronic mother has created, could you ever imagine anything normal for these two people ever happening?

until failin quitter dies, vanishes from the political landscape or gets her mouth sewn shut, these two young adults will be saddled with the millstone of failin around their necks for the rest of their lives.

failin quitter is a horrible person, but bristol and levi must have done some really bad crap in a past live to deserve this kind of karma.

10. Good, because the last thing we need is a bought and paid for
daily infommercial showing her in soft focus, because that is where that thing will be headed.

They need to get out there and earn their living like the rest of us do.

17. I watch plenty of reality tv and the executive is right. I saw Levi on Kathy Griffin once
and he barely talked and had the personally of a log. Bristol does not seem much better.
I think they both need to go to college or learn a trade and earn a living the way the rest of us do. No one is interested in them.

15. There is no way Palin would run in 2012 if Bristol has a reality show.
No election advisor people would EVER consider that a good idea for a candidate.
