New Prison Brings Much Needed JObs....
Oh boy...Hallelujah.. good times.

Our County Commission just used $44 Million of taxpayer money to build additional capacity on to our county jail.

They have so many extra beds. as a matter of fact... (says the beaming, proud-faced Sheriff), that they are taking in prisoners from neighboring counties on a PAYGO basis.

Now who said our politicians were anti-business?

The Sheriff says they have started a vegetable farm with Prison Labor, and they also have a Chicken and Egg farm.... all organic!

I just hope and pray I don't find my way into these debtor prisons springing up.

According to our Republican leaders here in this County... Human Life is cheap... drug dealers..Un-wed mothers..unemployed... Senior Citizens.... Mentally Ill...all slackers and perfect candidates for our prison labor pool!

4. GEO Corporation Takes Over County Prisons...
Edited on Fri Jul-16-10 10:09 PM by lib2DaBone
..The GEO Corporation (Wackenhut) is very active in the area.

It would be NO SURPRISE if the GEO Corporation was involved in this whole operation... without disclosure. Prison Profit is a hallmark of our current corrupt governemnt.

6. it's just plain disgusting
when there is profit in incarcerating people, the breach of ethics should be obvious to any thinking person. But I guess, it isn't..
Just like war, a racket.

5. "All I would say is all but for the grace of God go I,"
Cameron said. "Any one of us or any one of of us or any one of our family members could find themselves here."

What an odd and very disturbing comment.
