9. Actually Curt Flood was responsible
He facilitated the free market in sport with 'free agency'. Steinbrenner made sport business with 'free agency' and team channels for more coverage.

2. Racist wording aside, isn't that the other way around?
I suspect the men playing baseball would have earned a good wage with or with out Steinbrenner. Not so much the other way around.
